Imphal, Jan 17 : Assam Rifles today donated a six room toilet complex at the remote Sagang village in Churachandpur district.
The AR gesture is being widely appreciated by the villagers.
Troopers from the paramilitary force's 7th battalion (F Coy) led by Captain Ganesh inaugurated the complex.
A large number of locals attended the inauguration ceremony.
A total cost of Rs 1.5 lakh was incurred in constructing the toilets.
The Sagang village authority members including its chairman Shingkhuplin Serto and Sagang bazaar board members expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the rifle's humanitarian service towards mankind, locals said.
