Imphal, January 17 2009: Chairman cum Managing Director of Shija Hospitals and Research Institute (SHRI), Langol Dr Kh Palin has been adjusted among the top 50 prolific doctor-entrepreneurs who as a trendsetter changed the way Indian healthcare was ever viewed before by Express Health-care Management, a publication of Indian Express Group in its Jan 2009 edition.
With the recognition, Dr Palin has been included in the league of Dr Naresh Trehan (Chairman Mediciti, Gurgaon), Dr Pratap C Reddy (Founder Chairman of Apollo Group Hospitals), Dr Devi Shetty (Chairman of Narayana Hrudayalaya Pvt Ltd, Bangalore), Dr Arvind Lal (Chairman and MD of Dr Lal Pathlabs Pvt Ltd) and Dr Sengamedu Srinivasa Badrinath (Chairman Emeritus of Sankara Nethralaya) .
While granting the recognition, Indian Express Group has acknowledged Dr Palin with the title 'The Glorious Leader of Manipur with the excerpt 'Despite the turbulence in Manipur, he successfully manages to run the largest private hospital in Imphal Shija Hospitals'.
In a statement, SHRI's Deputy Manager (Business Development) Santosh Shekhar termed the recognition as a pride for Manipur and said it has been made possible by the endless effort of each and every staff of the Institute.
Born on Sept, 1956, Dr Palin did his MBBS from RIMS, Imphal, MS (Gen Surgery) from PGI Chandigarh and M Ch (Plastic Surgery) also from PGI Chandigarh.
