Awareness programme teaches law to Moreh public

IMPHAL, Feb 13 : A one-day legal awareness programme was held today at the Moreh Government High School regarding the necessity of every citizen to know the legal norms.

The awareness programme organised by the LMS Law College was participated by SN Haokip, senior teacher at the Moreh Government High School, L Apabi Singh, advisor, ACODOM, S Rahman, selection grade lecture, LMS Law College and Nurjahan Begum, secretary of the Minority Women Development Society as members of the presidium.

S Rahman in his speech said that in a sensitive area like Moreh, an important part of Manipur, the students need to know about the norms. He also spoke about AFSPA, arrest, human rights, drugs and narcotics law, national free legal service and child feticide.

L Babina in her speech said that organising such programmes in a place like Moreh where crime was a daily activity would enlighten the people of the area. She expressed her desire to include all communities in such programmes.

The programme was participated by students of Moreh Government High School, LMS Law College and members of the All Community Development Organisation Moreh, Minority Muslim Development Society, and Nupi Khunai Chaokhat Lamjing Lup, Moreh.
