IMPHAL, Feb 19 : The Governor, Gurcharan Jagat, in a statement expressed deep pain and anguish at the cowardly, dastardly and brutal killing of Dr. Thingnam Kishan Singh, MCS, SDO (Kason Khullen) along with his two subordinates, A Rajen Sharma and Y Token Singh after abduction by some unknown persons.
While condemning the act, he also urged upon the state government to take swift and effective action against the perpetrators of this very heinous crime so that the rule of law and respect for authority is maintained.
He also shared the grief with the bereaved members of the families at their time of great loss.
The statement said Dr. Kishan was known to be a man of principles and his death will cause a vacuum not only in the family but also in the state administration and Manipuri society.
He also appealed to the people of the state to come together and share the grief of the families of the deceased and also to firmly resolve they would together work for peace and security so that such incidents are not repeated in future.
