IMPHAL, Feb 6 : A memorandum was submitted to L Jayentakumar, education minister by the Students Union of Manipur Government Higher Secondary Schools and the All Manipur Higher Secondary School Students Union to withdraw the cases against six principals and two teachers in-charge regarding the non-participation in the Republic Day, after a press meet held at the AMSU headquarter today afternoon around 3 pm.

N Churchandra, general secretary of the Ram Lal Paul Higher Secondary School said that if the Manipur government doesn`t withdraw the cases against the six principals and two teachers by February 8 then the Union would protest along with the students organisations in Manipur.

As the chief minister was not available, the students union submitted the memorandum to the education minister and said that he had given assurance on solving the matter urgently.

Meanwhile, the students union has also appealed to all the six principals and the two teachers in-charge to come to school and continue their works.
