AR hand over community hall

Imphal, June 2 : Under the Military Civic Action 3 (NH) Battalion Assam Rifles of 57 Mountain Division constructed a community hall for ex-servicemen association of Churachandpur at Kawnpui village, Churachandpur district.

This is the first Community Hall which has been built for ex-servicemen in Churachandpur district.

The basic aim of this Community Hall is to provide a place where the ex-servicemen can come together for any welfare, social and cultural activities/function.

Besides local ex-servicemen, those living in remote areas of Churachandpur district as also ex-servicemen transiting through Churachandpur would be able to utilize this facility.

The cost of the project is rupees 2.9 lakhs and has taken 12 months for completion.

Assam Rifles in addition to construction of the building has given Computer, Printer, Cutlery, Plastic Chairs and Tables.

This kind of step taken by "Friends of the Hill People" has been appreciated by all ex-servicemen of the district.

This Community Hall is a gift from Security Forces to their brothers who have retired from the forces.

Ex-servicemen of Churachandpur district have expressed their gratitude to their brothers in arms for bringing development in the area.
