IMPHAL, Jan 6 : Maj General SS Pawar, COS HQ 3 Corps arrived at Imphal on a two days visit of Manipur on 05 Jan 2009. At Mantripukhri the General Officer was briefed by Maj Gen A K Choudhary, SM, VSM, IGAR (South) on the prevailing security situation in Manipur.
Maj General SS Pawar, COS, HQ 3 Corps visited forward areas of Somsai, Kakching and Pallel where he was briefed by respective Commanders on prevailing security situation and developmental work undertaken by the Assam Rifles in these areas.
He complimented the commanders and troops on the excellent work being done by them and exhorted them to continue with the good work.
