KRA refutes demanding money

Imphal, January 21 : Refuting the allegation of demanding money from the implementation of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) in Saikul sub-division of Senapati district, armed outfit Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) has clarified that being a party to the Suspension of Operation (SoO) signed with the Centre and the State Government there is no question of demanding money from any of the developmental works being taken up in Saikul block including implementation of the NREGS.

Talking to The Sangai Express in this connection, publicity secretary of the armed outfit TH Misao also appealed to other UG groups to restrain from imposing such undue demands from developmental works.

If case of detecting any irregularities in the implementation of the developmental works, whether it be NREGS or others, then KRA would take up necessary action against the officials concerned, he warned.
