Imphal, Jan. 29 : Manipur cyclists proved their mettle bagging 23 medals, including three gold, in the National Track Cycling Championship in Patiala recently.
The other medals Manipur claimed include seven silver and 13 bronze.
They came in the 62nd senior, 39th junior and 25th sub-junior National Cycling Championship.
In the 62nd senior national cycling event, the Manipur team, comprising Ch. Rameshowri, N. Chaoba, Th. Helen and H. Renubala took the gold in the 1-km team time trial.
Ch. Rameshowri, N. Chaoba, T. Nita, H. Renubala and K. Suchitra won the gold in the 3km team pursuit.
In the Olympic sprint event, the team comprising Ch. Rameshowri, N. Chaoba and Th. Helen Devi fetched the Silver.
N. Chaoba Devi bagged the gold in the 3-km individual pursuit.
Rameshowri fetched two bronze medals in the 500-metre time trial and 1-km sprint.
