Imphal , Jan 10 Only peace talks between the government and militant outfits can solve the armed conflict in Manipur, T Meinya, a parliamentarian from the state, has said.
Speaking at a public function here yesterday, Meinya said Manipuris need to delve into the past history of the state and compare it with the present situation to bring about a eformation in the state.
" Instead of blaming the government for its mistakes, the public should themselves become active agents for change in the region", he said.
Meinya said peace talks were the only viable solution to the armed conflict which has been"tearing apart" Manipur in the past some decades.
