Imphal, Feb 16 : Five persons including the bride of a mapam chakkouba ceremony were injured when the van in which they were travelling rammed an electric pole at Sora Chingjin this morning at around 11:20 am.
The persons are from Khongjom Sapam Leikai and were heading towards the chakkouba venue at Wabagai Keirak.
They were admitted at RIMS hospital.
Meanwhile, a person who was undergoing treatment after he was hit by a Honda Activa (MN-01/9944) at Thinungei Makha Leikai along Imphal-Churachandpur road expired at JN Hospital yesterday at around 4 pm.
The person identified as Moirangthem Thoiba Meitei (48) of Thinungei Makha Leikai was hit by the two-wheeler on February 11 at around 9:30 pm.
The dead body of has been handed over to family members after post mortem examination conducted at RIMS morgue.
